What UCLA Says About Business Economics Transfers

    • You must be admitted directly as Pre-Business Economics or Pre-Economics. You cannot switch into it after admission or add it as a double major.
    • Major prep (micro, macro, a year of calculus, financial and managerial accounting) is strongly recommended by the end of fall before transfer. Competitive applicants finish it by then.
    • General education: UCLA strongly encourages community college applicants to the College of Letters and Science to complete IGETC/Cal-GETC. It is not required.
    • TAG: UCLA does not offer the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG).
