On this agreement Mt. SAC's economics courses carry the BUSC prefix. BUSC 1B (or BUSC 1BH) is micro and meets UCLA ECON 1; BUSC 1A (or BUSC 1AH) is macro and meets UCLA ECON 2. Search the schedule for BUSC, not ECON.
BUSA 7 comes before BUSA 8
BUSA 8, managerial accounting, requires BUSA 7, and both are 5 units. Stacking them with calculus makes a heavy term, so take BUSA 7 early enough that BUSA 8 is done by the fall before transfer.
Check AP Calculus BC before placing into math
A 5 on AP Calculus BC counts for both UCLA MATH 31A and MATH 31B, the requirements MATH 180 and MATH 181 fill. A 5 on AB or a 4 on BC covers MATH 31A only. With a math chain this long, that score matters.

UCLA admitted 10% of transfer applicants to Business Economics in 2025. That covers all applicants to the major, not only those from Mt. SAC. You have to be admitted straight into Pre-Business Economics, since UCLA won't let you move into it after you enroll.
