UCI Mechanical Engineering: full GE notes
Math, science, and engineering prep has to be done before Cal-GETC or UCI's own GE, and the engineering school leaves IGETC out of transfer decisions entirely.
Five semesters only on the organic route
CHEM 31, CHEM 1A, CHEM 1B, CHEM 12A, CHEM 12B is five semesters, but only if organic chemistry is your science elective; CHEM 1A already counts. The chain that matters is MATH 1, MATH 2, MATH 3, then MATH 5.
Las Positas semesters, UCI quarters
Las Positas runs semesters and UCI runs quarters, so one Las Positas course can clear two UCI quarter courses. MATH 3 covers both MATH 2D and MATH 2E.

ENGR 1 clears ENGR 7A. ENGR 7B has no Las Positas equivalent, so that half of UCI's Introduction to Engineering pair gets taken after you transfer.
CAD isn't required for admission
ENGRMAE 52 has no Las Positas match, but UCI only needs it to finish the degree in two years, not to admit you, so this gap won't stall your application.
Physics numbers run out of order
PHYS 1A covers PHYSICS 7C, PHYS 1C covers PHYSICS 7D, and PHYS 1B covers PHYSICS 7E. All three are on UCI's admission list, and PHYS 1C needs MATH 3 first.
