UCI says IGETC may not be recommended for science majors including Biological Sciences, so Las Positas students should put chemistry and biology first.

The chain runs CHEM 31, CHEM 1A, CHEM 1B, CHEM 12A, then CHEM 12B: five semesters, each course opening the next. Organic chemistry is an admission requirement due by spring, so start CHEM 31 in your first term.

Genetics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, BIO SCI 97, 98 and 99, have no Las Positas match on ASSIST. Plan to take all three after transfer, since none of them block admission.
Botany or zoology satisfies BIO SCI 94
BIO 1A, General Botany, and BIO 1B, General Zoology, are interchangeable on ASSIST, so you only need one to satisfy UCI's Organisms to Ecosystems requirement. Take whichever section is offered first.
PHYS 1A alone covers one option
PHYS 1A alone satisfies one of UCI's two physics options, while the other needs PHYS 1A plus PHYS 1C. Either counts, and PHYS 1C also needs MATH 3, so PHYS 1A alone is the shorter route.
