UCI Mechanical Engineering: full GE notes
UCI's engineering school wants math, science, and engineering prep finished before Cal-GETC or its own GE pattern, and IGETC has no bearing on transfer selection.
Five semesters of math before circuits
MATH 8 leads into MATH C2210, MATH C2220, MATH 24, and finally ENGR 70: five semesters minimum. Start the sequence your first term so circuit analysis doesn't get pushed back.
IVC semesters, UCI quarters
IVC runs semesters and UCI runs quarters, so one IVC course can cover two UCI quarters. MATH 4A alone clears both MATH 2D and MATH 2E, UCI's multivariable calculus pair.

ENGR 7 covers both intro courses at once
A single IVC course, ENGR 7, satisfies both ENGR 7A and ENGR 7B at UCI. They're listed as major electives, so they don't affect admission, but finishing them here saves two UCI courses.
Take ENGR 20 for the programming slot
CS 36 or ENGR 20 covers ENGRMAE 10. UCI's admission notes say MATLAB programming is preferred, and ENGR 20 is IVC's MATLAB course. It needs MATH 2 first.
Honors math and science count the same
MATH 3AH, MATH 4AH, MATH 26H, MATH 24H and CHEM 1AH clear the same UCI requirements as their standard versions. Take whichever section fits your schedule.
