Provides experience in preparation of shelf-stable foods onsite and backcountry cooking techniques often associated with cooking team meals for CCC (California Conservation Corps) excursions. Applicable topics and scope of learning will include food preservation techniques such as dehydration, fermentation, and vacuum sealing, meal planning, and packing meals for remote areas.
