The Samueli School wants math, science, and engineering courses finished before Cal-GETC or UCI's own GE, and it doesn't weigh IGETC in transfer admission decisions.
Five semesters through differential equations
MATH 141 leads into MATH 150, MATH 151, MATH 252 and MATH 255: five semesters minimum before the calculus and differential equations UCI requires for admission are done.

Mesa runs semesters and UCI runs quarters, so one Mesa course can clear two UCI quarter courses. MATH 252 covers both MATH 2D and MATH 2E.

Chemistry needs the lecture and lab together
Mesa's CHEM 200 and CHEM 200L both have to be on your transcript to clear UCI's chemistry requirement. Chemistry is on UCI's admission list, so finish both with a C or better.
Mesa's engineering courses share one prefix
Statics, CAD, circuit analysis, Materials Science, and Dynamics all run under Mesa's ENGE numbering: ENGE 200, ENGE 151, ENGE 260, ENGE 210 and ENGE 250. All five clear UCI requirements.
Physics comes before the ENGE courses
ENGE 200 and ENGE 210 need PHYS 195, ENGE 260 needs PHYS 196, and ENGE 250 follows ENGE 200. Get physics started early or the engineering courses stack up at the end.
