Five IVC courses clear MGMT 7
UCI's statistics requirement, MGMT 7, accepts ECON 10, ECON 10H, STAT C1000, PSYC 10 or PSYC 10H. You need only one, so take whichever section fits your IVC schedule.
MGT 1 can go last
IVC's MGT 1 or MGT 1H covers UCI's MGMT 1, but ASSIST notes MGMT 1 may be completed at UCI. It isn't on the admission list, so calculus, economics, statistics and accounting come first when a semester is full.
No TAG for this major
UCI's Business Administration major doesn't take TAG for fall 2027, so IVC students have no guarantee route here. Admission is competitive and favors the highest grades, with a 3.0 minimum UC transferable GPA.

What classes should I take at IVC for UCI Business Administration?
Take MATH 3A and MATH 3B, ECON 1 and ECON 2, one statistics course (ECON 10, STAT C1000 or PSYC 10), and ACCT 1A and ACCT 1B. Add MGT 1 if you have room. The honors versions IVC lists, like MATH 3AH, ECON 1H and ACCT 1AH, count the same way.
Is any UCI Business Administration prep not offered at IVC?
No. ASSIST lists an IVC course for all eight requirements. UCI also accepts a second economics route, MGMT 4A-4B, but you don't need it: ECON 1 and ECON 2 already cover ECON 20A and ECON 20B.
Does IVC ACCT 1A transfer to UCI?
Yes. ACCT 1A or ACCT 1AH covers MGMT 30A, and ACCT 1B or ACCT 1BH covers MGMT 30B. Both versions of the second course require ACCT 1A, so accounting takes two semesters in a row. Start it early enough that ACCT 1B ends by the spring before you transfer.
What GPA do I need to get into UCI Business from IVC?
At least a 3.0 cumulative UC transferable GPA, though that's a floor, not a target. ASSIST says space is limited and preference goes to junior-level applicants with the highest grades who finish the required courses by the end of spring.
