IVC covers all six of Berkeley Haas's prerequisite requirements, so nothing on the list has to wait. The catch is that UC Berkeley's ECON 1 takes two IVC courses, ECON 1 and ECON 2, and every prerequisite must be done by spring and be no more than five years old.

Haas does not accept IGETC or Cal-GETC and uses its own seven-course breadth requirement, which is needed to graduate rather than to be admitted.

Watch Out
UC Berkeley's ECON 1 is a single micro-and-macro course. At IVC it takes both ECON 1 and ECON 2, or both honors versions, ECON 1H and ECON 2H. One without the other leaves the requirement open.
Haas accepts eight IVC statistics courses, including ECON 10, MGT 10, STAT C1000 and PSYC 10, and you need just one. ECON 10 and MGT 10 are both Statistics for Business and Economics, the most business-focused choice.
Haas needs one calculus course from the accepted options. MATH 3A (or MATH 3AH) matches MATH 51 and is the direct route. MATH 3B also counts, through MATH 52, but you only need one of the two.
FAQ
MGT 1 for UGBA 10X, ECON 1 and ECON 2 together for Berkeley's ECON 1, one statistics course such as ECON 10 or STAT C1000, one calculus course such as MATH 3A, and ENGL C1000 plus ENGL C1001 for reading and composition. Honors versions count too.
No. ASSIST lists an IVC match for all six. Timing is what trips people up: every prerequisite must be finished by the end of spring before you start, with a C- or better, and the ASSIST notes say a summer course right before entry isn't counted.
5%. That's UC Berkeley's 2025 admit rate for all transfer applicants to Business Administration, from every community college, not a number for IVC alone. Haas also requires its own supplemental application, due at the end of January, and denies anyone who skips it.
No. Haas does not accept IGETC or Cal-GETC. It has its own seven-course breadth requirement, which you need to graduate but not to be admitted, and a Haas prerequisite can't also count as breadth.

Irvine Valley College students applying to the Business Administration B.S. at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business can complete every prerequisite at IVC. MGT 1 matches UGBA 10X, the ECON 1 and ECON 2 pair covers Berkeley's ECON 1, and MATH 3A satisfies the calculus requirement. Add one statistics course and two English composition courses and the list is complete. Transfermatic orders those IVC semesters so each prerequisite lands before the spring deadline and stays inside Haas's five-year window.
