    This course offers an in-depth exploration of fermented and distilled alcoholic beverages, including beer, dessert wines, and a variety of spirits. Students will study production methods, industry regulations, and sensory evaluation techniques through a combination of classroom lectures and field trips to breweries, distilleries, and tasting rooms. Topics also include labeling laws, responsible consumption, and the cultural significance of these beverages. Must be at least 21 years old to enroll. Material fees apply. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
