Why California owns this list
Five of the nine are California campuses, and that isn't an accident. California built the plumbing: ASSIST publishes exactly which course transfers to which UC or CSU, and six UCs guarantee admission through TAG if you hit the requirements. Most states have nothing like it. De Anza and Santa Monica also run dedicated transfer centers and stock the full lower-division sequence for the impacted majors, so you never hit a term where the class you need isn't offered.
