Transfers ToCSUDescriptionTHART-12B furthers mastery of intermediate acting theories and techniques. Students will analyze and perform realistic, stylized and classical texts as well as devised theatre. Students will prepare a capstone audition portfolio to prepare them for auditions. Students will work on more complex scenes and further refine their skills through higher level acting exercises. The course covers intermediate methods, improvisation, craft, vocal production, interpretation, auditioning, stage movement and character analysis. Participation in an actor showcase, one-act, or full-length play at the end of the semester is required. Field trips and/or attendance of live performances may be required. Grades are P/NP Option.
