Transfers ToUC and CSUIGETC Area 1C · CSU GE Area A3 · CSU GE Area A1DescriptionThis course provides students with the foundational knowledge and practice of public speaking in a democratic society, to enable them to successfully communicate ideas of a persuasive nature in the public speaking mode, and to critically evaluate the speeches of others. Aristotelian rhetorical principles and Canon's of rhetoric will be studied and applied to analyze historical and public discourse. Students will be required to research primary and secondary resources. Faculty evaluated, formal and ethical written/oral arguments with sensitivity to diverse audiences will be delivered to a live audience.Usually HeldMon Wed 10:00am–11:15am, Mon Wed 11:30am–12:45pm
