Emphasis is placed on health assessment across the lifespan, family communication, patient education, teamwork and collaboration, role transition, clinical judgment, and management of care for medical- surgical adult, obstetric, and pediatric patients. Classroom, simulation, and clinical experiences will provide students with the opportunity to utilize critical thinking skills, while providing nursing care for patients from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
