    Description
    Provides students with the basic skills and knowledge to work in the fire service. Following the California State Fire Fighter 1 and 2 curriculum and emergency medical technician (EMT 1) guidelines will be followed. Students will be provided training in basic concepts including fire department organization, firefighter safety, firefighter behavioral health and cancer awareness, communications, structural fire suppression operations, rescue operations, emergency medical response for the treatment and care of the sick and injured, hazardous materials awareness, operations and decon operations, wildland fire suppression operations, equipment operation and maintenance, fire and life safety initiatives. Includes daily physical training.
