- This course emphasizes the development of basic reading and writing skills including active reading and writing processes, vocabulary development, grammar and mechanics, simple and compound sentences, paragraph development, summary-response compositions, and small group and whole class work to strengthen basic reading and writing skills. Grades are P/NP Only.
