Transfers ToUC and CSUCal-GETC Area 1B · IGETC Area 1B · CSU GE Area A3DescriptionIn this course, students receive instruction in critical thinking for purposes of constructing, evaluating, and composing arguments in a variety of rhetorical forms, using primarily non-fiction texts, refining writing skills and research strategies developed in ENGL C1000 College Reading and Writing (C-ID ENGL 100) or similar first-year college writing course. Focus is on the principles and development of logical and analytical reasoning, argumentative writing, and rhetoric (invention, arrangement, style, memory, delivery, modes of discourse, audience). Students will write a minimum of 5,000 words over the course of the semester.Usually HeldWed 6:00pm–8:50pm, Mon 10:00am–11:15am, Mon Wed 10:00am–11:15am, Mon Wed 11:30am–12:45pm
