Students discover, develop, and critically analyze ideas in public discourse through research, reasoning, organization, composition, delivery to a live audience and evaluation of various types of speeches, including informative and persuasive speeches. Students learn to read, listen, speak, and write effectively for various public speaking objectives. Formal class presentations are required in front of a live audience of faculty and students.
