- This course introduces the theory and studio use of color and digital color and their role in the visual arts. Students learn the additive and subtractive principles of color theory as they apply them to visual communication and design processes. Emphasis is on color mixing, awareness of color relationships, and their visual impact, including the psychological effects and the symbolic uses of color in visual art.
