    Description
    An introduction to the principles of flux cored arc welding (FCAW), setup/use of FCAW equipment, and safe use of tools and equipment. Provides instruction in welding carbon steel weld joints in various positions. Emphasizes developing structural steel skills using innershield, dual shield and flux cored arc welding practices. Course includes ferrous metal identification and welding characteristics, troubleshooting equipment and welds completed in various positions.
