    This course is focused on the spirit of mathematics through a study of engaging mathematical ideas: finance math, inductive and deductive reasoning, problem-solving strategies, methods of proof, logic, numeration and mathematical systems, probability and statistics, set theory, and voting and apportionment. This course is not recommended for students entering elementary school teaching, business administration majors, or STEM majors.
