Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis course provides nonnative English speakers practice developing their fluency and ability in academic reading, composition, discussion, vocabulary, and grammar to an intermediate level. Emphasis is placed on developing and using reading strategies, developing writing fluency, writing paragraphs and multi-paragraph compositions, revising compositions, analyzing and producing grammatical structures in context, expressing one's own ideas and opinions, and engaging in classroom discussions about course themes. Course can be repeated as needed to allow for further development of skills at this level. Prepares students for ESOL 260, ESOL 560, or English 105.Usually HeldMon Wed 9:00am–11:50am
