The power of the situation, other individuals, and the social group are examined. Students have an opportunity to examine and apply insights to social problems and day-to-day issues in their own lives. Emphasized topics include impression formation and management, self as socially constructed product of society, aggression, prejudice and stereotypes, interpersonal attraction, attitudes and attitude change, conformity, group phenomena, gender roles, cultural norms, person perception, and social cognition.
