    Description
Prerequisite: ESLW 963RV. Advisory: It is strongly recommended that students enroll concurrently in ESLW 964GW and 964LS. This course emphasizes reading and vocabulary development for ESL students at a high intermediate level in a variety of social, business, and/or academic situations. The course gives non-native speakers of English the opportunity to develop their reading comprehension and reading skills such as identifying the writer's attitude. The course allows students to increase their active vocabulary using the 4000 most common English words, including some academic vocabulary, and provides students the opportunity to use current vocabulary resources, syntactic knowledge, and new and idiomatic expressions to share their ideas.
