Students have the opportunity to examine identity, value orientation, social justice, cultural assimilation, the family, health care, education, the world of work, media in the United States, ethnocentrism, and racism. The goal of the course is to enhance understanding, insights, and respect for diverse ethnic groups, as well as provide insight into struggles, mobilization strategies for equity, self-determination, liberation, decolonization, and anti- racism.
