This course serves as an introduction to microorganisms and the laboratory techniques employed in their study. The characteristics, particularly of bacteria, but also including viruses, algae, fungi, and protozoa are studied with emphasis on their relationship to human life. Laboratory work includes studying morphology, culturing methods, and biochemical characteristics of microorganisms.
