    (2) CSU This course offers a detailed introductory explanation of the California property taxation process. This course explains all of the governmental agencies involved and their individual roles in California property tax assessments. Proposition 13 and Senate Bill 813 are fully explained to the trainees. The students are taught the procedures and policies of the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office in implementing property tax laws. Finally, the course ends with an explanation of the statute of limitations for assessing escapes or corrections of a prior year and/or current year assessments. This course is one of courses that meet the requirement for the Los Angeles County Assessors Appraiser Trainee Certification Program.
