    United States (3) CSU This is an introductory history of Asians in the United States from the mid nineteenth century to the present. The course emphasizes the experiences of Asian immigrants and Asian- Americans within the broader context of immigration and race relations throughout American history. An interdisciplinary approach will be taken to address the issues facing Asian- Americans including gender, race, identity, politics, socialization, assimilation, and popular culture.
