Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is an introduction to the hand and power tools used in the craft departments of the television and film production industry. Students will be introduced to workplace safety protocols, basic measuring techniques, the principles of electrical safety and the safe operation of hand tools, portable power tools and stationary power tools. Students will also learn which tools, hardware and techniques are commonly used in the grip, set dressing, set painting and set lighting crafts. Participants must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
