The course covers many of the elements found in Shakespeare's work, such as structure, character, conflict, setting, style, theme, the supra- supernatural, and symbolic meaning. The selection of plays will include Shakespeare's tragedies, histories, and comedies. Students will study Shakespeare's works in their social, cultural, and historical contexts.
