Transfers ToCSUCSU GE Area B4DescriptionFoundation of Data Science combines an introductory look into the fundamental skills and concepts of data analysis and inferential statistics with hands-on experience in analyzing data sets by using Python code snippets that will be provided within the browser. Students will learn how powerful these simple looking snippets of Python code can be. Initially, students will be exposed to Excel spreadsheets and Access databases to demonstrate how powerful data analysis can be. CREDIT COURSE LISTINGS & DESCRIPTIONS Students will get a handle on how data can be presented and analyzed on a smaller scale using some Excel formulas and Access queries. Students will be provided with data from various sources and learn how to analyze, arrive at a conclusion, report, and make predictions as needed.
