    Description
CHEM 212 is a continuation of CHEM 211 with additional emphasis on the remaining functional groups as well as on multi-step synthesis, reaction mechanisms, stereo chemistry and modern instrumental and analytical methods. Special attention is given to the molecular structures and reactions of organic compounds with biological importance. Significant laboratory time is devoted to develop skills in multi-step synthesis and analysis of complex organic compounds using modern analytical instruments.
