Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course implements the principles of inclusive, respectful caregiving for infants and toddlers within a variety of program designs, routines and schedules. Topics cover typical and atypical development, principles of early intervention, preschool transition services, design, implantation and assessment of developmentally appropriate curriculum and environment; health and safety and licensing issues. Coursework includes documentation of learning through observation, guidance toward self-regulation, family communications and community resources. Current research related to benefits of early intervention services and treatments will be addressed.
