Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionUpon successful completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of transitions in the national geography of the African continent from the 17th century to the present through demonstrating an understanding of the ethnic diversity and distinct cultural traditions among the peoples of Africa. The above will be accomplished through research, writing and discussion of materials and techniques employed in the creation of African artistic and architectural works that serves as a function and add meaning to the full range of African art forms, and traditional style within particular cultural groups.
