Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionAn examination of Western and global art and its relationship to social, political, and economic aspects of modern society from World War II to the present. The artistic response to new intellectual trends and disciplines, the rise of the Civil Rights and Feminist movements, innovations in technology, various stylistic movements, as well as methodological approaches to analysis of the subject will be considered. Students will master art historical and artistic vocabulary, will learn to perform visual analysis of compositions of painting, sculpture and other forms of visual art.
