    This course provides an overview of Emergency Medical Service Systems including: the role of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), paramedics, medical directors and the local EMS agency; licensure and certification; ethics; well- being of the EMT and paramedic; the relationship between the emergency care provider and other health care professionals. Verbal and nonverbal behavior and communications related to the delivery of emergency medical services.
