    SLSCI 021 is the study of soil formation, classification, and characteristics. Soil use and management including pH, fertility, salinity, erosion, organic matter, and microbiology will also be discussed. Laboratory topics include soil type, classification, chemistry, fertility, and hydraulic and physical properties of soil.
