- NURS 040 focuses on concepts of medical-surgical nursing, as related to trauma and other complex, life-threatening illnesses, and injuries. Emergency preparedness in healthcare systems is also addressed. Clinical decision making through the utilization of the nursing process is emphasized for patients in the context of a Culture of Health.
