Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionNC 370 is the first course in the Rockwell Academy of Advanced Manufacturing series, required for the certification. This is an advanced course in electrical systems, motors and controls, programmable logic system, and industrial networking systems. This course prepares individuals to install, configure, adjust, troubleshoot, monitor, and operate electrical systems and networks for industrial automation processes. Key skills include adhering to electrical safety rules, analyzing alternating and direct current systems, wiring control systems, performing normal equipment startup/shutdown, operating, programing, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in different modes, identifying the proper process for performing an emergency shutdown and resets, monitoring for proper operation through indicators and PC-based PLC software, configuring processor software drivers for communication to PC, configuring and loading of HMI programs, operating HMI with PLC, configuring PLC discrete I/O, transferring programs between PC and PLC processor, interpreting basic and intermediate level PLC ladder logic programs (with contacts, coils, timers, counters, math, comparison instructions), PLC project creation/editing, and interpreting common PLC program logic applications using electro-pneumatic actuators and on/off motor control systems. The course includes the introduction to troubleshooting providing recommended testing methods and remedies for identifying faults in programmable logic controller systems. The systems include hardware components, component isolation and testing, PLC software fault identification, and the use of PLC status indicators. Additional components require troubleshooting in industrial manufacturing which are integrated into the training include: PLC power supply, power distribution system, processor module, discrete input and output modules, chassis, and discrete field I/O devices.Usually HeldMon Tue Wed Thu Fri 1:30pm–4:35pm, Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri 8:00am–9:30am, Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri 9:40am–12:30pm
