    HUM 011 provides a overview of myths, folklore, and related narratives from a variety of world cultures. Includes the study of academic theories of myth and folklore; analysis of the various forms and functions of myths and folktales; interpretation of relevant themes, symbols, and archetypes; and discussion of the influence and adaptation of such narratives in literature and popular culture (e.g., film and television).
