Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionHRCM 049 is directed study to provide an opportunity for students, under the direction of an instructor, to participate in advanced individualized studies to supplement and enhance existing courses. Independent Study requires a minimum of 54 hours of academic work per unit. In addition, students must file a "Contract for Completion of Course 049" and register for the course by the end of the second week of instruction. Students are allowed to register for Directed Study only after 50% or more of a program's courses have been taken with a grade of "C" or better. To qualify, the student must have prior background in the subject matter through previous coursework or experience, the permission of the instructor, and the appropriate college Chief Instructional Officer.
