    Description
    ESCI 002 is a general introductory earth science course. Focus is on the spatial relationships and interrelations of matter energy and systems on or near the earth's surface and extraterrestrial space. Class content will focus on geodesy, cartography, hydrology, geology, geomorphology, meteorology, climatology, astronomy, oceanography, soil science, biology, and their integrated patterns of world distribution. Intensive use is made of maps, computer programs, and models and field trips. An additional object of the course is to help prepare students who are planning to teach Earth and Space Sciences in the K-12 classroom.
