    Description
    EDUC 005 is a critical thinking class for students considering the teaching profession. Principles and methods of critical thinking and writing will be applied and covered through academic writing that transfers to writing across the curriculum. Concepts covered are as follows: evaluation of non-fiction texts, identifying arguments, developing reasoning skills, fallacy, identifying and implementing explicit writing and reading; with a focus on research strategies that will support information literacy, language conventions, audience, purpose, context, and language within applications of these concepts in a K-12 classroom environment.
