    COMP 001A helps students develop the skills to create basic well-organized and well-formed static web pages. Students will learn the history, power, and limitations of basic web development utilizing the web's foundational markup languages: hypertext markup language (HTML) and cascading stylesheets (CSS). This course is targeted towards aspiring frontend/full-stack web developers and designers. The course requires only basic computer knowledge and teaches students how to use all necessary tools, software, and frameworks including text editors (Visual Studio Code), version control software (Git and GitHub), and third-party development tools and resources (Google Web Fonts, Bootstrap, Font Awesome, etc).
