    GEOG 018 explores California's physical features, such as its mountains, valleys, deserts, and coastline, and how these features and regions have influenced the human and physical landscape. It examines the location, description, and interplay of California's human and natural resources, the influence of physical features upon the economic activities, and the sequence of occupation of California. Topics include California's weather & climate, natural resources, native vegetation & flora, cultural landscapes, population, demography, ethnic diversity, racial-ethnic relations, agricultural & urban regions, water resources, and California's economy.
