    CIS 002D introduces computer programming, emphasizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and foundational coding skills. Topics include computer hardware and software, programming concepts and methodology, and comparisons of procedural and object-oriented approaches. Designed for students with little or no prior experience, the course provides hands-on practice in designing, writing, testing, and debugging programs while connecting computing concepts to real-world applications and preparing students for CIS 002I.
