Transfers ToNot transferableDescriptionThis class is designed for high beginning non-native English speakers who read and write at a very limited beginning level. The course will focus on basic reading and writing skills. Students will practice reading and filling out everyday forms. They will practice reading comprehension, vocabulary, rules of spelling, and basic grammar. Students will expand their knowledge of familiar words and phrases and use strategies to predict common words and phrases. Students will be introduced to simple narrative reading passages and identify patterns such as sequencing.
