Sociological theory and the methods used in conducting social science research, from hypothesis development to the use of variable and analysis of collected data as well as the ethics of research, will be presented. Application of qualitative and quantitative analytic tools including logic and research design, such as survey, observational, experimental, case study, and comparative historical research will be introduced and applied. Students will actively participate in conducting studies that focus on current social issues.
