The course emphasizes the anatomy and physiology of the central nervous system, including physiological, hormonal, and neurochemical mechanisms. Brain-behavior relationships underlying the psychological phenomena of sensation, perception, regulatory processes, emotion, learning, memory, and cognitive behavior including speech and language will be considered.
