Areas covered include: music notation and printing software (Finale and Sibelius); the basics of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and MIDI sequencing; sound synthesis and sampling; and, digital audio recording, editing, and mixing with software such as ProTools or Digital Performer. Students will get hands-on experience through several class projects.
